These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Job Application Agent service (“the Service”). By registering for or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

The Service lets you upload a job posting, your CV, and optional supporting documents, generates a personalised cover letter, and can send the application by email on your behalf through a Gmail account you connect. The Service is provided by jobsbw (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

2. Your Account

  • You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account.
  • Each person should have one account. Accounts may not be shared.
  • Notify us immediately through the Support section if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Using the Service

  • You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and to apply for genuine jobs.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for reviewing every application before it is sent.
  • The Service generates draft content using artificial intelligence. You must review and edit drafts before sending. We do not guarantee that any application will be read, answered, or result in an interview or job offer.
  • You may not use the Service to send spam, misleading, unlawful, or malicious content, or to harass any person or organisation.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

  • The Service is available on a paid subscription plan. The current plan costs BWP 50 per month (30 days) and includes a set number of preview credits.
  • Payment is made in advance using Orange Money by sending the subscription amount to the merchant number shown in the app.
  • Your subscription activates once we confirm your payment, which we verify against the SMS confirmation your mobile number receives. Payment confirmation can take a few minutes.
  • Subscriptions do not renew automatically. Your subscription expires at the end of its period unless you renew before it lapses.
  • Preview credits not used before expiry do not carry over.
  • We may change pricing or plan terms at any time. Changes apply to new subscriptions and renewals, not to an already paid period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users’ accounts; interfere with or disrupt the Service; reverse engineer or resell the Service; use the Service to store or send unlawful material; or use automated means to send applications or consume preview credits.

6. Documents You Upload

You own the CVs, job postings, and supporting documents you upload. By uploading them you grant us the right to process them for the purpose of generating and sending your applications. Uploaded documents are held only temporarily while your preview is active and are deleted afterwards, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Gmail and Email Sending

To send applications by email you connect a Gmail account using Google’s secure OAuth flow. Applications are sent from the Gmail account you connect, and only to the recipients you approve. We do not send email from your account without your action. You may disconnect your Gmail account at any time from Settings.

8. Termination and Suspension

  • You may stop using the Service at any time. Your subscription simply lapses and you will not be charged again.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or if we are required to do so by law.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from Settings. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

9. Refunds

Payments are processed electronically and are generally non-refundable. If a payment is not reflected on your subscription or you believe you were charged in error, contact us through the Support section within 14 days and we will investigate. Refunds are granted at our reasonable discretion.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  • The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that any particular application will be delivered or receive a response.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 30 days before the claim.
  • We are not liable for any loss of opportunity, employment, revenue, data, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this page, and the “Last updated” date above shows when it changed. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Botswana. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Botswana.
